This morning I greeted a co-worker and asked how he was ... He seemed sad and was telling me that he and his wife were having some financial difficulty

To this I responded:

You know some times when things are hard and you find yourself doing without and fretting over what you don't have... try to think about what you DO have... as Americans we are so overwhelmed with THINGS... SO MANY THINGS... There are people in Africa who have ONE pair of pants and ONE shirt... We are very very fortunate.

My Friends Gunny's recent travels (http://ngslproject.org/ethiopia/) to Ethopia as well as some books on Africa I have recently read have given me knew value to our lives here in the US...We have more than any ONE person could possibly need yet we seem to always want more... Kinda makes you rethink your next purchase...

My co-worker smiled "Thank you! You're right!" he said. "You just made me see things a lot differently."

I am happy to be back at work - I feel like a Super Star just back on tour.... LOL~! Okay not really that good - but happy enough! Even if it is just part time for now.

My little boom turns 8 today! :-)

that is 56 doggy years

I love her soooooooo much - she makes me very happy every day...

Normally we would have cheeseburgers for her b-day dinner so we can make her a little one - but I don't know what we will have tonight - we'll see...

I get to return to work tomorrow - YAY!

I am happy - I have been very anxious to get my life back to "normal."

I miss my friends there and the quickness of the day...

Do we look happy here? It was a gorgeous spot and we wanted to spend all day right there in that spot... it reminded us of "home" it was a bit like La Jolla there but with a little warmer water...

NEWS Update

Dad is back home with electricy and water...he called and told me when he was on his way home... then texted me when he was in his kitchen enjoying a cup of coffee ... it really comforted me to hear his voice... I feel so helpless when I can contribute to helping when something horrible is going on WAY over there... all I can do is pray.
