Last Weekend's Trip

Early last Friday we loaded up another rented RV and headed towards the mountains for our traditional Memorial Day Weekend camping trip to the Laguna Mountains. I didn't think we were going to go this year. Since I am pregnant, I thought well I am not going to be peeing in the forest 5 times a night outside my tent so I guess we aren't going. Well my hubby didn't want us to miss the trip so not only did he rent us the rig to go in but he also took FRIDAY OFF! He hardly ever takes a day off so I was really happy about that. A DOUBLE TREAT!

Well we hit the road about 9:30am a nice early start. Check out the spooky ride up there. I wanted to video it but frankly I was a bit nervous and thought I should keep my eyes on the road... even though I wasn't the one driving.

When we got up to our destination to our amazement it was SNOWING! Crazy huh? We sure thought so! It never snows in San Diego County in MAY.... Strange!
We got settled in, made and ate some lunch then took a looong nap. At about 2pm we decided to get out side and enjoy the crazy storm. Snow, hail and freezing rain fell for hours. WEIRD!

Do you like their fake napping portraits?

(Actually these pics where taken on night Friday after the cold stormy day. Tumbleweed was so tired from playing and was warming her bones as she was very wet, icy and cold when we came in.)

RO made us a BIG fire with some fine dry wood we had brought up and lit up the outdoor propane heater. We sat in between the two to stay toasty warm...It snowed for about 4 hours. It was beautiful. Good thing we had warm clothes, we needed them. It was a chilly 35 degrees that day.

(I took some great video of the snow but for whatever reason I am unable to upload it so it will have to wait for another time.)
Tumbleweed found the weather strange, she loves the snow but it was only falling and there was none to play with on the ground. It was too warm underfoot and it melted as it touch the earth.

That didn't stop her from having a fabulous time though. (check out her video below)

My little cutie, having soooo much fun!

The next day our neighbors came up with their boys and camped out with us a night. We had called them Friday night and told them to stay behind since they were tenting it, it was just too wet and too cold.

So when they got there we went for a walk and with the blue sky shining above it snowed again! Only for about 15 minutes this time - but enough to give everyone a smile and a thrill.

It was sunny but chilly still the rest of that day. We all had fun hiking, biking and talking.

The rest of the weekend turned out beautiful - nice and sunny. It was so much fun. Enjoy the pics and video.

28 weeks today

We are at 28 weeks today... and I am finally feeling more like myself... and almost sound like myself too :) YAY! I am getting better! I caught myself singing in the van today.... I bet that made my little baby happy to hear me sing again - is has been a loooooong time since I have been able to do that.

Last night RO and I were talking about our little William Walter and I was saying I wish RO could "feel" him like I do all the time. RO has only felt the baby move two times, once a while back and once more while I was very sick.... You see, William plays this game we call "freeze tag" and as soon as my hubby lays his hands on my belly to feel the moves and kicks, little William Freezes and doesn't move again til Daddy takes his hand away .... Bad Boy! RO keeps saying he is getting a whoopin' as soon as he comes out. J/K
Well last night I was kinda of sad talking about how Daddy never gets to feel him... we were talking about this and other things for about 10 minutes....well then Daddy laid his hand on my belly and BOOM BOOM BOOM! HE KICKED - OR PUNCHED.... SOMETHING Really hard 3 times and OH how exciting it was for both of us! RO said,"WOW! That was him? That was like an earthquake inside you! I can't believe how strong he is!" It was so cool! So I think that baby is off the Bad Boy list for now :) And we are both happy!

Not 100% yet

Well my few hours out yesterday wore me out...it felt like a very long day. I am paying for it today as I am really tired now. Still couhging a lot and can't breathe good.... but hey! My toes look really nice and my sister and I had lots of fun. She said it is like I have been gone a month. She is used to talking to me just about everyday and seeing me a few times a week. Being so sick, she didn't want to make me talk on the phone and she and my nephew had to avoid my germs....

I went back to the doc last night and he said to take it easy so that my sickness doesn't creap back up on me. So I am trying to do that. Today I am going to have to get something done around here. My hubby vacuumed for me Sunday night. That was a help. Today I will have to get some laundry done.

Feeling a Bit Better

I am feeling a bit better. My voice is coming back. That is nice - I have been talking in basically a froggy, scratchy whisper lately. I have a little more energy and can breathe out of one nostril at a time now. Whoo hoo! My lung are burning though, it still hurts to breath. I got out of the house for a few hours yesterday. That was nice. I have a few more days of anti-biotics left to take, I hope I will be all better by that time.

Today I think we will take Tumbleweed to a lake so she can swim. It will be nice exercise for her and she can cool off a bit too. It has been really hot here. Friday it was 97 degrees by 10 am.... time for the air conditioner.

Here is a clip of a few weeks ago, just before I got sick. We took Tumbleweed on a walk at one of her favorite places to go, Mission Trails. The lake you see at the end is Kumeyaay Lake. Tumbleweed decided to spook the ducks... LOL! She usually doesn't mess with the birds, just the rodents. I guess she was bummed she didn't find any squirrels on this day.

Enjoy the walk.

Is there an End?

I am still home! Hip hip horay! I DID NOT want to be admitted. The doctor said to hang in there a bit longer and I should be feeling better soon, to go to emergency if I have trouble breathing or catching my breath. I was able to actually blow something out of my nose today - that has got to be good news. And with the help of cough syrup my coughs are starting to slow down - but as soon as those 4 hours are up I need more syrup or I begin to give the little guy severe earthquakes. My Aunt said he is going to come out with spiky hair. LOL! Maybe he will.

Thanks for all your kinds thoughts and prayers. I am resting and drinking tons of fluids...but still pretty sick, exhausted, breathless...I have to just rest....I no longer have fevers...so that is really good... hopefully the end of this monster is near.

Down and Out

I've been in bed or on the couch all day and night for 7 days now...I have been stuck home everyday very very sick. I have not left except for two trips to the doctors, one trip to the Drug store and a few hours out on Mom's Day. It started with a cold/fever last Tuesday and now has morphed into Bronchial Pneumonia... I have lost 6 pounds in three days - not good for baby :( and I can't hardly function. I am very sore in belly, diaphram and back from all the coughing fits. Doc gave me anti-biotics and good cough syrup on Monday and said if not doing better by Thursday - I have to be admitted in Hospital :( No thank you - I'd like to stay home.... Sis brought me groceries today ...thank goodness for her...

Rockin' the House

The Lovely Bride and Groom!

Check out this video....it is really dark but worth the watch... it is of a young kid dancing at the wedding we went to Sunday. This little guy was probably only 3 or 4 years old... we were all glued to him... and his little girlfriend...Enjoy!

Here are a few pics of the reception party.

The BEST dancer there!

A toast to happily ever after.

They did good on their money dance - look at all that honeymoon cash they made out with :)She got all the big bills :)He got a lot of little ones :)

My hubby ripped a twenty in half and pinned half on the bride and half on the groom and told them they have to share everything now :) I made a bow out of a twenty and pinned it on the groom :)

As Promised

Here are the pics of me in my two new outfits over the weekend.

This one is on my way to my sister-in-laws baby shower on Saturday. Do you like her pretty package? :) I like this dress because it is not Maternity so I can wear it later and you can't really tell in the pic, but the top of it has these jewel things sewn in it so you don't need jewelry - it is really cute and comfy too.

And below is at the wedding reception... I was comfy all night and even got to dance for a while thanks to my comfy shoes :)

Awww... me and my honey! We love eachother, can you tell?

One of My Favorite Spots

Here are some pics of one of my favorite spot at Sea World to relax.
Don't you love the sea turtle? I do. I wish we could have a huge tank like this one at home - one can dream right? If only I could win the lotto. :)
